Jerry Remy Cancer
Jerry Remy will be taking some time off due to his recent cancer surgery.
Jerry Remy is known as the Red Sox announcer and is currently 56 years old. The announcement of his leave was posted on the New England Sports Network site today.

Jerry Remy was diagnosed with lung cancer due to his smoking habit. The cancer turned into an infection and then pneumonia. Remy said he wanted to let people know about his illness so that people are aware of the dangers of smoking.

Before being the Red Sox game announcer Remy was also a former major league second baseman for California and Boston. We wish Jerry Remy a speedy recovery!
