Elizabeth Adeney Pregnant at 66
Elizabeth Adeney is a 66 year old woman who has become pregnant through in vitro fertilization at a fertility clinic in the Ukraine.
Elizabeth Adeney is from Britain but was treated in Ukraine since the UK will not assist women over 50 years of age. She is now currently the oldest pregnant women. If all goes well she will be giving birth in June through Cesarean Section.
Her age is becoming a popular debate since the pregnancy is high risk and also after giving birth she will be in her 80’s when her child is a teenager.
According to the New York Post Adeney said:
“I am a private person, and while I appreciate there may be some publicity, I will just ignore it,” she said. “This has been a very personal decision, and I do not feel I have to give interviews or talk to anyone in the media about what I have decided to do and where I have done it.”
