When Tiny and Toya arrive home, Tiny discovers wine and comfort food courtesy of Toya and Kiesha. Together, the three chat – Toya and Kiesha assuring Tiny that she will not be alone. Toya presents Tiny with a table clock with the engraving, “a suspension in time;” a fitting description of what Tiny is going through. She is touched by the gift and starts to cry. For the first time, Tiny is without her hard exterior. Toya and Kiesha make a discreet exit into the next room, and Tiny curls up on the bed and turns out the light. The first day is over.
