Cash for Clunkers RULES
By now many people have heard about the Cash for Clunkers program made by the government to help get rid of old cars by giving you a discount for buying a new one.
But there are rules to follow of course. The Cash for Clunkers rules are:
For qualifying vehicles, buyers will get a $3,500 credit for a new car that gets at least 4 mpg more than the trade-in. The credit rises to $4,500 if the new vehicle has a combined fuel economy value that is at least 10 mpg higher than the trade-in vehicle.
You can check out http://www.cars.gov/ to learn more about the program and to see if your car qualifies. The Cash for Clunkers program will run until November 1, 2009.
