Justin Barrett Email
The Justin Barrett Email is popular news today in reference to the Henry Louis Gates Jr. case. In the email Barrett called Gates a “banana-eating jungle monkey”.
Justin Barrett has since then been suspended from his duty as a Boston Police officer. Barrett said about the email:
“I did not mean to offend anyone, the words were being used to characterize behavior, not describe anyone.”
