VJ Day
Today is VJ Day which stands for “Victory Over Japan”.
On a day like today, August 14th in the year 1945 the Emperor of Japan Hirohito surrendered to the Allies which marked the end of World War II. Connecticut will continue to celebrate with their annual VJ Day Parade.
