DJ AM Died of Overdose
According to TMZ sources say that DJ AM died of an accidental overdose and therefore was not a suicide as many had believed to be.

DJ AM, Adam Goldstein, was recovering from drug abuse but had recently become dependent of Xanax and other anxiety drugs after the plane crash he survived. DJ AM had developed a fear of flying after the crash but flying was a must in his job so the drugs where prescribed to help.
Doctors prescribed several anti-anxiety medications including Xanax to treat his fear of flying but benzos also caused DJ AM to fall back into his addiction. This clarifies that his overdose had nothing to do with his recent breakup and that his death was due to using crack cocaine and benzos.
