The Presidential Pardoning of a Thanksgiving Turkey

A lucky turkey named Courage was spared from being slaughtered this
holiday season. Sticking to tradition that President George Bush Sr. made
official in 1989, President Obama pardoned Courage, a 45 pound turkey.
Courage was chosen by Malia and Sasha, the daughters of President Obama.
The second turkey up was named Carolina. Every year, two turkeys are
chosen. After Courage and Carolina  received their pardons, both birds
were transported to live the California dream at Disneyland.
“There are certain days that remind me why I ran for this office,” smiled
Mr Obama. “Then there are moments like this when I pardon a turkey and
send it to Disneyland.”
