H1N1 Vaccine Recalled

800,000 doses of the children’s H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine have been recalled. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) claims there are no safety concerns. Sanofi-Aventis, the vaccine’s creator, recalled the 800,000 children’s doses of the H1N1 vaccine saying that they are not as potent as they should be.

Italy’s Prime Minister Attacked

Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was struck with a small model of the cathedral of Milan by Massimo Tartaglia. Prime Minister Berlusconi was hospitalized after the attack. He suffered a broken nose, cut lip, and two broken teeth. Tartaglia, 43, has been charged with aggravated assault. Police claim the attacker has a history of mental illness.

Street Vendor Shot in New York

Raymond Martinez was scamming tourists in Times Square in New York. He was trying to get shoppers to buy his CDs. A Sergeant recognized him from previous legal problems. Sgt. Christopher Newsom, who runs an organization to stop aggressive panhandlers, asked Martinez for his tax stamps, which would legally allow him to sell on the streets. Martinez ran when asked and Sgt. Newsom ran after him. Martinez pulled out and fired a 30 round machine pistol.

Nobel Peace Prize for President Obama

President Barack Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize today, December 10, 2009, Thursday, not long after he has ordered 30,000 troops to Afghanistan and set a date for American troops to leave Iraq. The President does acknowledge that he cannot follow in the great footsteps of peace bringers of the past Nobel Peace Prize winners, but that he does want security and peace for the world.

Tiger Woods Latest

There was some speculation and anticipation about Eilin Nordegren, Tiger Woods wife, will file a divorce. That would had been the biggest divorce of the year!.

However, Eilin has said she will stay with Tiger because of the Kids.

Eilin and Tiger have tow kids, Sam, 2, and Charlie, 10 months.
