Last night American Idol kicked off its 9th season in Boston, Massachusetts. Guest celebrity judge, Victoria “Posh” Beckham was pleasant and had something nice to say about everyone no matter how strange they looked or how bad their singing. It’s the first one without Paula Abdul, who quit over a salary disagreement.
After season 9 of American Idol, founder Simon Cowell will be leaving to focus on his other TV show, The X Factor. Simon Cowell announced this news at the Television Critic’s Association’s press tour in California. He plans to launch The X Factor in the United States in 2011.
Thousands of people tuned in to see who would be the remaining contestants that would battle to win the title of American Idol 2009.
The remaining two contestants are Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. Both have been favorites of many during this season so it is no surprise to see them as the last one’s standing and Danny Gokey saying Good-bye.

It’s down to the final 3 on American Idol and Adam Lambert is a favorite contestant of many, including judge Simon who things that Lambert will be this seasons winner.
