Black Friday Brings Unruly Shoppers at a Walmart Store

Walmart customers at a Upland, California store got out of hand this Black
Friday, forcing the store to kick everyone out and shut the doors. Police
said that unruly shoppers were not following the directions of store
management. When Walmart employees began bringing out some of the big
ticket items, people started grabbing the merchandise before the
management was ready. One shopper said “All I know is people, they were
going crazy and they kicked everyone out.” The store remained empty for 2
hours and Walmart employees began letting shoppers back in around 5:30
a.m.

Most Wal-Mart Stores will be Open 24 Hours for “Post-Thanksgiving Day Events”

Wal-Mart does not want to see a repeat of last years deadly Black Friday when a greeter was trampled  to death in one of it’s New York stores. One of the steps that Wal-Mart is taking in preparation for the start of this years holiday season, is that most of its stores will stay open 24 hours leading up to the famous and very popular Black Friday. The idea is to eliminate the huge crowds that gather throughout the night to be one of the first ones into the store when the doors open.

In a statement that Wal-Mart released, mentions that store specific plans were developed that will address the flow of the customers, the location and setup of the sales merchandise as well as how the customers enter into the store. A spokeswoman for Wal-Mart said, “This is part of our overall program to make our stores safer and more convenient for our customers this year.”

Black Friday is on November 27 which is the day after Thanksgiving. There will be deals on tons of stores and online as well.

Sales will continue through the weekend and also on Cyber Monday. Stores such as Wal-Mart, Target and Amazon are already getting ready for Black Friday.
