Thought you could get the Palm Pre for just $99 at Best Buy? Think again, looks like there was a typo and the price tag on the Palm Pre is still $199.
The Best Buy marketing managar, John Bernier, quickly twittered his apology saying: “We’re a company made up of humans, and humans make mistakes. We’ve apologized, and corrected the price.”
The awaited Palm Pre Release Date is on June 6 and will be priced at $200.
According to cNet news:
The Pre will be available nationwide on June 6 for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and with a two-year contract on Sprint’s Everything Data plan or Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plan. In addition to Sprint stores, the Pre will be sold online and at Best Buy, RadioShack, and some Wal-mart stores.
June 6 is on a weekend, Saturday, so this would mean assured sales right? But what is also on everyone’s mind is that just 2 days after the release is the Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference where they will probably announce a new iPhone. So is it better to wait to compare the the Palm Pre and New iPhone? That’s the news on the Palm Pre Release Date.
